Primers
Cork primers are used for direct adhesive bonding between substrate and the subsequently-applied coating structure. For this reason they are applied directly to the cork substrate.
Hydro (UV) primers which have solid particle content of between 30 and 80%, thus requiring pre-drying. They can be pre-dried using any of the commonly available, tried and tested methods on the market (e.g. jet drying, IR dying, cold drying, MOS drying, etc.). Alongside its primary task as providing adhesive bonding, hydro (UV) primers should prime the cork not hide it- to emphasise the naturalness of this material. Depending on the primer system, colourations are also possible to make colouristic adjustments (achieve equalising effects).
